Baby Pippins

L O G . I N

Baby Pippins opened in March 2011 in a newly built barn adjacent to Pippins Nursery. The light and airy building was carefully planned from scratch using the proprietors' knowledge gained from many years of experience. Anita Huckle says "I have been running children's nurseries for 20 years but this is the first time I have been able to design a building from the start. I feel that we have the perfect environment for babies to play and have fun and to have rest and quiet times". Baby Pippins has been designed to be practical, cosy and comfortable.

The most important ingredient in any baby facility is the staff team. We have employed a wonderful team of experienced Nursery Practitioners.  Pippins is committed to continuous professional development and our team are encouraged to attend training to continually update their skills.  Most importantly our team have been selected for their love of children and their commitment to their profession.

Babies are carefully planned for. Their development is monitored and a wealth of learning and play opportunities are available.  Many of the resources are made of natural materials and are of a very high quality.  There are many opportunities for messy play and art and craft.  A busy fun day is on offer every day. Quiet times and cuddles are plentiful and there is a lovely separate sleep area where babies can rest away from the activities.

Good food and nutrition is considered a high priority at Baby Pippins. Meals are cooked from scratch by our cook. The home made food is high quality and healthy. Babies enjoy the social experience of sharing delicious food with their friends. This encourages a lifelong pattern of healthy eating.

The babies who attend take full advantage of the wonderful outside environment. There is a purpose built play area, adjacent to the building which allows for lots of fresh air and exercise. In addition, babies toddle or take a ride in a pushchair around the farm, experiencing the natural environment.
