Pippins is a stunning Ofsted Outstanding (March 2020) nursery with a Montessori Classroom/Forest School and beautiful Baby Room.
Prior to the Covid-19 closure in March 2020, Pippins was ready to launch a new Forest School in the idyllic location of our own Long Meadow and woods.
When the nursery reopened on 1 June 2020, we were able to care for all our 2-5 year old children in the Forest School in order to be as safe as possible during the current situation. Our entire team worked outside for the summer months. The success of our Forest School has been beyond all of our expectations; both the children and our team enjoyed experiences that they will take through life. As a result of this success, we have decided to split the children between the Montessori Classroom and the Forest School.
We are now experiencing a huge demand for our service and need dedicated and inspiring Nursery Practitioners to work with children from 4 months to 4 years.
Early Years Practitioners
Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
We are looking for a qualified Montessori or NVQ Level 3 (minimum) Nursery Practitioner. You will need to be a flexible team player with a sunny disposition, happy to spend time outside and committed to offering children the best possible care and education. We offer ongoing training and require our team to continue professional development.
Forest School Practitioner
We are looking for someone very special, preferably with a Forest School qualification or a qualified Nursery Practitioner, Level 3, with childcare experience. You will need to be a team player who is innovative, fit, resilient and outdoorsy. You will need to be committed to learning in an outdoor environment and prepared to take up Forest School training.
Children spend all day outside or in the cosy Yurt with log burner. Many of the activities are child led with some adult planning. Observation of the children is the key to helping them to fulfil their potential in the natural environment.
Applicants will need to have their own transport due to our rural location and lack of public transport.
